We had Palestinian and Eritrean traditions. The wedding was definitely a blended affair. Today we look back and we know it’s Naseeb and a helping hand from Salams! Right as Ramadan ended and we both were looking for our second chance in marriage. When we decided to meet up the first time he was to fly and come see me and the flight was overbooked.

We met on Salams (formerly Minder) in Ramadan of 2019, one of us being in Canada and the other in the United States! It was a really smooth experience, especially when you know what you are looking for. We were married in February of 2017. A simple weekend trip to NYC changed my whole life. Alhamdulilah.
